"Usefully light for the money, but low on power. Bite adjustment just softens already mushy feel "

The basic Nano master cylinder and calliper body are unchanged apart from the gunmetal grey colour, although the previously fixed calliper hose is now angle-adjustable for better frame/fork alignment when fitting.
The skeletal curved arms and cutouts of the Pulse XC rotor option save 40g over the old Pulse rotor. This drops weight of a full 180mm front setup to just 422g, which is well under most brakes double the price. Less rotor contact area means reduced braking power though, so only light and gentle riders should opt for the 160mm front version.
Whichever disc you go for, a long, thorough bedding-in process is essential to get average anchorage out of it. The crooked lever gets durable pivot hardware to remove previous wobble and rattle issues, and there"s a tool-free reach-adjust knob. The "bite point adjust" lever hidden on the piston shaft turns an already soft lever feel into complete mush though, and needs lever reach extension to stop the blade hitting the bars, so it"s best left well alone
