The Nago Evo X10 from Prologo is a high performance saddle aimed at cross-country and marathon racers. At first glance it’d be easy to write it off as too hard and too narrow, but there’s more to this 252g, solid titanium railed, 130mm wide perch than that. First of all the shape is a cunning blend of a flat central zone with quite curvaceous fall away on the saddle’s flanks. It’s a comfortable place to pedal from and if the initial soft nature of the padding firms up a bit it’s only because the padding is taking a subtle imprint of your posterior.
The nose of the saddle is well shaped and, for a racing saddle, quite well padded allowing you to slide forwards on extreme climbs to manage weight distribution and power delivery. We liked everything about our time on this saddle and will gladly keep riding with it. We’d be keen to recommend it to you too if we didn’t have one nagging issue – the price. For the spec it’s a lot of money, with a couple of its peers, timeless racer’s classics, up to 30 quid cheaper. Only you can make the call on the depth of your pockets.
