The front wheel is switchable between 15mm and 20mm axles, and the rear is available in both 135mm and 150mm x 12mm formats, as well as a 135mm quick-release option so they’ll fit pretty much anything.
The 32-hole welded rims are rebranded, sturdy and reliable 29mm Sun Ringlé MTX 29s, laced to Nukeproof’s own Generator hubs via plain-gauge DT Swiss spokes. The rear hub has five sealed cartridge bearings, and six pawls with leaf springs for a crisp engagement. The feel is positive when you crank some power in, and the Generators spin up to speed nicely.
We ran a pair of these through the ringer over four brutal days riding in the Alps, including the Megavalanche, and they came back straight as a die. They inspired confidence through even the roughest rock sections, offering the stiffness of a topflight downhill wheelset. These are a great value, great performing pair of wheels, ideal as a second set
