Designed to be a comfortable option that is wearable all day, the Cross Lite kneepads from Knox have a minimalist look. They have just one strap and not a lot of padding at the front, with some small, thin padded sections inside the knee. When we put the pads on, the single strap really didn’t seem to cut it. When pedalling, the bottom of the pad opens up, leaving a big gap that mud can get up into the pad through, and causing a grinding paste effect against our knees.
The postivie side of this is that it provided ventilation on dry rides, but the material used in the pads didn’t wick particularly well and left our legs dripping with sweat. The Cross Lites were reluctant to stay in place when it came to more than a quick blast, and trousers over the pads helped but didn’t solve the pr
