Although the label on Bontrager"s XR2 Team Issue says 2.1in, the tall, round carcass swells up more like most brands’ 2.25s. This means decent rollover smoothness and rock-shrugging security despite an impressively low weight.
Bontrager were among the pioneers of tubeless-ready tyres so it"s no surprise it’s sealant ready and low-pressure compliant. It accelerates quickly, the staggered centre tread with softer siped flank treads turns in smooth and rolls pretty well too.
