A massive 40 percent power increase has boosted Ay Up’s totally comprehensive lighting kits off the epic race circuit and right to the top of the trail light charts for 2012. The Adventure package"s independently angle-adjustable twin head units and Half Epic battery are the same as the Ultra Lite set, but you get two.
While the beam shots look super-focused, using a spot helmet set and intermediate handlebar set gives an astonishingly bright double act that blows everything else off the trail and there’s a wide beam option if you want a full floodlight. Two minimalist zip tie bar mounts and Gecko helmet mounts mean immediate clip-in convenience for two bikes and helmets, which nocturnal solo or team racers and off road/ road riders will love.
Weight is tiny for their output and judging from what our three-year-old long-term sets have shrugged off they’re nigh-on indestructible. There are 12 anodised colour choices, plus rear light conversion covers and a car charger in the bean shaped case. Shipping from Australia is currently free too, leaving the short delivery wait as the only drawback.
